Story Time!
These stories were written during the late 90's through early 00's. I was fairly new at the writing craft, so I've gone through them to fix mistakes. I am only human, though, so let me know if I missed anything.
All stories were written by me, Michele Briere. Email me with questions or comments if you don't want to leave a comment on the page. michele.briere@gmail.com .
This is the draft of a first chapter of a story I'm slowly working on, so remember this and don't judge too harshly. It takes place in an alternate timeline of Earth where the monotheistic religions never took hold. It's set in Gila, Arizona, the state capital in this timeline, which is set in the country of Mexica on the southern part of the continent. The climate is hotter and drier than it is in our time, and Mercy Andrews, an in-depth reporter from New Amsterdam (our New York) has come down to learn more about the city and the changes that are being instituted to overcome those climate issues.
In the meantime, Jake Sebastian, oldest son of the local Ninankin temple leader, uses his empathy and the gifts of his housemates to help the police track what may be a child abduction ring.
An SG-1 fan fiction saga. It took me sixty-three chapters to get it out of my head. Stargate universe and characters are not mine, I just borrowed them. Original characters are mine.
Warning: bad language and a few suggestive scenes. (J/S/D slash)
This story came about after RDA left the show after the 8th season, and Pete left the crew. I didn't like the changes to the storyline, so I decided to ignore seasons nine and ten, and wrote my own story that starts just before Jack leaves.
It starts with a few generals who don't believe the daily reports coming out of The Mountain. Jack decides to take them on a field trip along with Nate, Jonas, SG-3, and his favorite Jaffa to the last place the Asgard saw a few old friends. Asgard Commander Thor has asked Jack for help in finding them.
Typical SG-1 hijinx occur, the lost friends are found, Daniel is in raptures about their identity, and the teams return home.
As The SGC begins to settle back into routine, Thor's friends chase a new Goa'uld into Earth's space and the ship crashes near The Mountain. This truth can't be hidden from the world. Now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak (read to understand that one), and the world is avidly glued to their televisions and computer screens, Washington demands to take over The SGC. Jack throws a fit by walking out.
And Jack, Sam, and Daniel, along with the Sumerians, proceed to turn the world on it's head.
This saga was written in the early 2000s, so technology is old.
Short Stories
I'm not one for short stories, but a long time ago my brain went a little fuzzy and a couple of them leaked out.
The Curse of the LadybugThis is a silly story about a ladybug pin and the shenanigans that happen at a cocktail party when it is stolen.
A boy learns not to skip school when aliens invade the mall.
